PanBeam Steerable Beam Loudspeakers - Product Range
PanBeam is a new range of steerable beam louspeaker columns comprising 2 base models, PanBeam PB08 and PanBeam PB216 each of which may be cascaded to form longer columns for example the PB16,PB24 and the PB232. The PB08 and derivatives are most suited to speech applications whereas the PB216 and derivatives with their larger drivers and more powerful amplifiers are better suited to music reproduction but will of course handle speech with ease.
Every model incorporates digital amplifiers, digital signal processing technology and custom drivers.
The PB08 incorporates 8 off 3.5 inch drivers each driven by a 50W amplifier and is capable of producing 88dB(A) average at 25m using a pink noise source and a peak SPL of 94dB(A) at 25m.
Two PB08 units coupled together form the PB16 which produces 91dB(A) avg and 98dB(A) peak and covers a distance of up to 50m.
Three PB08 unit coupled together form the PB24 which produces 93dB(A) avg and 100dB(A) peak and covers a distance of up to 75m.
The PB08 has a small footprint of only 94mm x 92mm and weighs 22.5kg. It is suitable for fixed mounting or portable use and a variety of mounting hardware is available.
The PB216 is a 2-way system incorporating 6 off 6.5" cone speakers each driven by a 100W power amplifer and 10 off 1" HF-Neodym drivers each driven by a 40W amplifier.
The PB216 produces 101dB(A) at 25m and a peak output of 104dB(A) and has a typical throw of 35m.
The PB216 has a footprint of 244mm x 210mm and weighs 27.5kg. It too is suitable for fixed mounting or portable use and a variety of mounting hardware is available.
